Please complete the following form to provide us with the necessary information for your child’s costuming and t-shirt sizing.
All Dancers
- Makeup: highly recommended to wear lipstick and eye makeup to enhance features. Click here to purchase makeup!
- Click here to view a video with instructions on how to put your child’s hair in a bun.
- If your dancer has more than one costume, please arrive in their first costume. Bring all necessary items such as costumes, shoes, and extra hair accessories. Mark all items with your child’s name.
- No gum, nail polish, or jewelry including rings, watches, or earrings. If your child has newly pierced ears, speak with their teacher. Please leave all jewelry items at home. The dance school is not responsible for lost items.
Tiny Tots and Rising Stars
- Hair: Half-up Ponytail – pull the sides of the hair back and put in a ponytail at the crown of the head on a diagonal with the dancer’s ears. Use bobby pins or french clips to secure the hair to the head. Bobby pins, clips, and hair ties must match the color of the dancer’s hair. Use hairspray to secure.
- Headpiece: Clip bow to top of ponytail.
- Costume: Two-piece Christmas pajamas and solid-colored underpants under the pajamas
- Shoes: Girls- Pink Revolution brand ballet shoes and Boys- Black Revolution brand ballet shoes – these are the same shoes your child wears for class each week
Ballet
- Hair: Bun – place the bun at the crown of the head on a diagonal with the dancer’s ears. Use bobby pins or french clips to secure the hair to the head. Bobby pins, clips, and hair ties must match the color of the dancer’s hair. Use a hairnet and hairspray to secure.
- Headpiece: Clip bow to top of bun.
- Costume: Mulberry soft sleeve leotard and tutu with pink Revolution brand footed tights (you will need to provide tights and leotard)
- Shoes: Girls- Pink Revolution brand ballet shoes and Boys- Black Revolution brand ballet shoes – these are the same shoes your child wears for class each week
Jazz/Hip Hop
- Hair: Bun – place the bun at the crown of the head on a diagonal with the dancer’s ears. Use bobby pins or french clips to secure the hair to the head. Bobby pins, clips, and hair ties must match the color of the dancer’s hair. Use a hairnet and hairspray to secure.
- Headpiece: Clip bow to top of bun.
- Costume: Performance shirt, black socks, and solid black leggings (you will need to provide black leggings)
- Shoes: Black Revolution brand jazz shoes – these are the same shoes your child wears for class each week
Tap
- Hair: Bun – place the bun at the crown of the head on a diagonal with the dancer’s ears. Use bobby pins or french clips to secure the hair to the head. Bobby pins, clips, and hair ties must match the color of the dancer’s hair. Use a hairnet and hairspray to secure.
- Headpiece: Clip bow to top of bun.
- Costume: Performance shirt, black socks, and solid black leggings (you will need to provide black leggings)
- Shoes: Black Revolution brand tap shoes – these are the same shoes your child wears for class each week
Boys’ Hip Hop
- Hair: Style neatly. Use hairspray to secure.
- Costume: Performance shirt, black socks, and solid black joggers (you will need to provide black joggers)
- Shoes: Black Revolution brand hip hop shoes – these are the same shoes your child wears for class each week
Holiday Production
- Hair: Bun – place the bun at the crown of the head on a diagonal with the dancer’s ears. Use bobby pins or french clips to secure the hair to the head. Bobby pins, clips, and hair ties must match the color of the dancer’s hair. Use a hairnet and hairspray to secure.
- Headpiece: Clip bow to top of bun.
- Costume: Holiday Magic t-shirt, black socks, and solid black leggings (you will need to provide black leggings)
- Shoes*: Black Revolution brand jazz shoes *If your child doesn’t have black Revolution brand jazz shoes, we will let them borrow a pair for the performance.*
Reserved seating! Young children who sit on your lap do not require a ticket.
Tickets can be purchased online beginning Saturday, November 16th at 9a.
All students will remain backstage until the end of the short performance. No exceptions.
Please review which performance(s) your dancer will be performing in on the Show Lineups and Program tab.
Dancers and volunteers must arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of each performance in costume with hair and makeup done. The show will begin promptly at 4p and 6p.
Dancer Drop-off:
- Arrive a few minutes early to allow for traffic and check-in.
- Have your dancer visit the restroom when you arrive before checking in.
- Costume and hair instructions were sent home in October. This information can also be found on the Costume Information tab. Be sure to review this information to ensure your dancer is prepared.
- When you arrive, please check in at the A-K and L-Z check-in tables by the first letter of your student’s last name. You will receive a card when you check in that will be required for pick up at the end of the performance.
- All students will remain backstage until the end of the short performance. No exceptions.
- If your dancer has more than one costume, please arrive in their first costume. Bring all necessary items such as additional costumes, shoes, and extra hair accessories. Wear street shoes outside and change into dance shoes before checking in.
Backstage During the Performance:
- Staff and volunteers will help with all costume changes.
- No food is allowed backstage. Water only!
Audience:
- No flash photography during the performance. It is dangerous for the performers.
- Every person entering the auditorium needs a ticket with an assigned seat. Young children who sit on your lap do not require a ticket.
Pick-up After the Performance:
- After the performance, please return to the A-K and L-Z check-in tables by the first letter of your student’s last name to pick up your dancer(s). Present the card you received when you checked in to the volunteer at the table and walk to the far side of the hallway to wait for your dancer(s) to come to you.
